On Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18, hundreds of volunteers showed up at Lakeland Community Church in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, to participate in a food packaging event. This event was organized with cooperation from Children’s World Impact, as our organization has packed over 1,000,000 meals that have been shared throughout the world for children and families who suffer from food scarcity, as well as local food pantries in Walworth County, Wisconsin.
This event was done through Kids Around the World, out of Rockford, Illinois, and their One Meal program. Thanks to their Multiply Initiative, Lakeland Community Church was able to raise $25,000, enough to package 100,000 meals, which will be sent to Swaziland, located in the southern horn of the continent of Africa. These meals will be used to feed and nourish orphans.
