Early Monday morning, August 14, golfers showed up at Geneva National Golf Club for Children’s World Impact’s Annual Golf Event. Many headed to the pavilion, where breakfast was awaiting them, while others refined their putting on the practice green, and still others worked out some kinks on the driving range. At 8:30 sharp, golfers were summoned to their carts, given directions, and led out to the Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course, where the scramble event took place.
Under partly overcast skies, with a slight breeze and very comfortable temperatures, the golfers enjoyed 18 holes of golf. After golf, participants enjoyed an outdoor lunch of brats and burgers in the pavilion, where the winners of the event were announced. Tyson Ray, founder of CWI, made a short presentation where it was announced that the goal of the event was to raise enough in profit to fund the construction of bathrooms at the newly constructed school building in Desarmes, Haiti, financed by CWI.
