Over the years, Children’s World Impact has packaged over 1.7 million meals that have been distributed to hungry people all over the world. It has long been a tradition, in partnership with Kids Around the World out of Rockford, Illinois and their One Meal program, to host an event early in December. We have found that many families and groups enjoy making this part of their holiday giving. Once again this year, our event will be hosted by Lakeland Community Church in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. We are grateful for their amazing facility, which is ideal for this event.
If you’ve never taken part in a food packing event, it’s something that will leave a lasting impact on you. At tables of 8, packers combine red lentils, white rice, a dehydrated vegetable blend, and PhyoBlend-a combination of 24 essential vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients. Once the bags are sealed, they are packed in boxes, which Kids Around the World takes and distributes to different organizations around the world, with whom they have long lasting relationships.
You can sign up to volunteer here. Please consider donating to this project. Our goal is to pack 80,000 meals. We won’t be able to do it without financial contributions from our generous donors.
