2 Million & Counting!
Childrens’ World Impact began hosting Food Packing Events shortly after the devastating earthquate that hit the country of Haiti in January of 2010. Recognizing that there are hungry children and families all over the world who have immediate and critical food needs, we established an annual event hosted in early December. Throughout the years, our volunteers have packed over 2,000,000 meals!
This wouldn’t be possible without our partnership with Kids Around the World, who supplies the necessary food items and equipment, through their OneMeal program, and whose global connections make it possible to ship the meals to those in need. Our meals have gone to nourish people in the countries of Haiti, Domican Republic, Ecuador, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Zambia.
Potable Water
For over 10 years, there has been a Koyo water bagging machine at the widows’ project in Ghana, Africa. This machine filters and bags water, producing water sachets that can be used for local events and meetings. In order to fulfill large capacity orders, Children’s World Impact purchased a truck that is used for water delivery.
Widows are able to purchase water sachets through the co-op and sell them at a profit, thus providing an income. This has been one of our most consistent and successful elements that have been available to assist women in supporting themselves and their dependent children.
