Current Projects
Children's World Impact is always open to new projects that fit our mission of caring for widows and orphans and making a significant impact on the lives of the neglected. We choose projects where we can partner with a reliable "boots on the ground" individual who is indigenous to the country and specific area where the project is taking place. We rely on communication and updates from our contacts so that we can continue to update our donors on the impact their dollars are making.
New School in Zambia
We are thrilled to be financing the construction of a brand new primary school in Zambia, Africa, for a group of children who have been meeting in a pig barn for their instruction. This is the very first time these children will have an actual school building in which to meet for their instruction. The entire community is beyond excited for this new improvement.
The land has been legally deeded to The Feeding Spoon, a non-profit in Zambia with whom we have connections. Pastor Quistin Chalwe is a trusted partner who is overseeing this project.
The land was cleared and the foundation prepared. Most recently the concrete floor has been poured for the school building. Along with the main classroom block, the project will include an office, latrine toilet facilities, and new desks and learning materials.
Chikanda Church Rebuild
Due to strong winds, the roof was blown off the church located adjacent to Chikanda Primary School, which was recently renovated by CWI. The congregants of the church reached out to us for financing of a new roof. After seeing the dire condition of the overall church building, we decided to finance a total reconstruction.
Builders and some of the congregants carefully deconstructed the building and salvaged most of the bricks, which were still in very good usable condition. The reconstruction is now underway with the walls of the church raising higher with each passing day.
Since many of the families whose children are students at Chikanda Primary attend this church, we felt rebuilding this place of worship would be an excellent way to support not only the children, but the entire community.
